Prostart I
Each chapter has a tab that includes some basic questions and vocabulary. Going over these as well as the chapter reviews and Flashbacks will help you with your final written test. Each ProStart class has an 80 question test provided by the National Restaurant Association. In order to qualify for the National ProStart Certificate of Achievement, you must score a minimum of 70 percent. Once you have passed the ProStart I exam, you may also want to begin your 400 hours of work experience. There are several competencies that must be completed in those 400 hours. See Ms. Calvert or the ProStart National website. Ms. Calvert will work with you and your employer to see that you obtain those competencies. You have until the end of the summer of your senior year to complete the hours. Check the ProStart website for deadlines for applications as well as other scholarship opportunities.
